🙄 Frontend developer dilemmas – Beautiful Code #27

I've been going back and forth on something that's been on my mind for days, and it’s not letting me rest easy. As a frontend developer, I feel confident and motivated in my work, but there are certain projects that make me rethink how to improve the workflow. These are the projects where a CMS is necessary. And that’s where my dilemmas begin.

For frontend development, I usually work with Nuxt (if you haven’t checked out this Vue framework, I highly recommend it—it’s basically the Next.js of Vue). In this area, I feel very comfortable using it, and for me, there’s no real competitor.

The problem arises when I need to integrate a CMS so the client can manage the website’s content. I’ve tested several headless CMS solutions, including DatoCMS, Strapi, Backpack in Laravel, and even WordPress Headless. Each one has its pros and cons, and I never know which one to lean towards. I guess, in the end, it’s not about one being better than the others but rather about choosing the right one based on the project’s needs rather than my personal preference.

What CMS do you use?
